WHAT TO EXPECT

WHAT IS LIP BLUSHING?

Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing that enhances the natural shape, color, and definition of your lips using a sheer wash of pigment. It doesn’t add volume, but it creates the illusion of fuller, more even lips.

WILL IT LOOK NATURAL?

Yes. We specialize in soft, diffused color that enhances without overpowering. The goal is “your lips, but better”—restored tone, balanced edges, and a healthy tint that looks effortless.

RECOMMENDED BEFORE BOOKING

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications 24 hours prior. Stay hydrated and exfoliate your lips gently the day before. If you’re prone to cold sores, begin antiviral medication 2–3 days ahead.

Lip blushing is not recommended for those who are pregnant, nursing, or have certain medical conditions. If you’ve ever had a cold sore, you’ll need to pre-medicate with an antiviral. A full list of pre- and post-care instructions is provided before your appointment.

DURATION OF PIGMENT

Results typically last 2–3 years depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. A touch-up is recommended at 6–8 weeks to perfect the shape and tone.

DOWNTIME

Expect 5–10 days of healing. Color will appear more vibrant at first, then soften as the lips heal. Swelling is usually minimal and subsides within 24–48 hours.
